Storm-affected SNAP recipients can apply for benefits replacement

SNAP recipients affected by recent severe weather in Oklahoma can request replacement of benefits.

Oklahoma Human Services (DHS) said it’s accepting applications for replacement of SNAP benefits to cover food losses.

Only clients in storm-affected counties of Cleveland, Garvin, Lincoln, McClain, Oklahoma and Stephens counties are eligible for replacement of benefits.

To replace your SNAP benefits due to food loss from severe weather, you need to fill out the “Request for Destroyed Food Replacement” form .

Clients who apply should complete and electronically submit the form to DHS within 10 days of their food loss. For assistance with filling out the form, call (405) 522-5050.
