DEL CITY, Okla. ( KFOR ) — One person was found dead Saturday afternoon in Del City and police say they are investigating it as a homicide.
Authorities say a 43-year-old man was found shot to death at Rag City Customs, a body shop near Delwood Drive and Westside Drive.
“It took us a little bit to get the search warrant for us to get in and actually start processing the scene,” said Brad Cowden, from the Del City Police Department.
Cowden also adds, “The time of death is definitely uncertain.”
Police say the victim was shot and his body was later discovered by an acquaintance.
“We can coordinate better with the next of kin, and the family on releasing additional information and hopefully the victim’s name,” said Cowden.
Del City police tell News 4 they are currently reviewing nearby surveillance video as they continue to investigate the scene.
There was a 7-11 convenience store and a few other businesses in the area.
The victim’s family was also on scene, joined hand-in-hand to pray.
