Frosty paws alert: protecting pets from Oklahoma’s frigid temperatures

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) – Frigid temperatures can pose serious health threats for people, and pets, especially outdoor dogs and cats. Officials with the Oklahoma Humane Society say the best thing you can do is keep your pets indoors as much as possible when the weather is extremely cold, but for outdoor animals or strays, they say you can make houses out of styrofoam and straw to keep them dry and warm.
