One of America’s favorite spring holidays, St. Patrick’s Day annually breezes in on March 17, featuring green outfits, green beer and even green-dyed lakes and rivers, along with lively music, parades and traditional Irish food and drink .
St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Monday this year, but that just means that the bars, venues and districts across the Oklahoma City metropolitan area are partying through the weekend leading up to the actual holiday. For celebrants who can’t wait to get their Irish eyes smiling, this year’s festivities range from a parade led by longhorn cattle to a classic movie featuring John Wayne .
