MIDWEST CITY, Okla. ( KFOR ) — A portion of a Midwest City family’s backyard is off limits due to a growing sinkhole.
The city says a broken drainage pipe, running through about 20 backyards, is to blame.
“The kids can’t play there and it’s stressful, because, you know, we’d like to have our whole backyard,” said Dustin Pennington.
Pennington has lived in his Midwest City home for five years. The sinkhole has been growing for the past two years.
