NOAA Weather Radio System Issues

If you live in northeast Oklahoma and your NOAA weather radio did not go off due to recent storms, there may be a reason for that.

According to the National Weather Service Office in Tulsa, the communications problems with the system started yesterday. The issue has been identified as a telephone company problem, and all are working to fix the issue soon.

The National Weather Service reminds everyone that you should have multiple ways to receive warning information during severe weather in cases like this. While NOAA weather radio is a robust system, issues can happen.
