Man found guilty of 2024 murder following stolen car purchase in Oklahoma County

A 12-member jury found a 26-year-old man guilty of a 2024 murder that also centered around the sale of a stolen car.

Mario Latrael Mason was accused of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm while a felon. A jury convicted him April 23 on the first felony count, while a plea agreement allowed prosecutors to dismiss the second count. He had already been convicted in prior cases involving grand larceny and previous possession of firearms he was prohibited from carrying.
