Emergency crews respond to gas line break in NW OKC

UPDATE — 3:35 P.M.

According to Oklahoma City Fire, ONG has shut down the gas line, and crews will remain on scene for a short time while they supervise one more air quality sweep.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Emergency crews are on the scene of a high-pressure gas line break near Northwest 10th and Penn.

Workers accidentally struck a 3-inch gas line, which prompted the line break. Crews have since closed off the area while firefighters set up a protection line, according to the Oklahoma City Fire Department.

A precautionary evacuation for a church west of the incident has been put in place as crews work to repair the gas line break.
