Oklahoma City Set for Sunny Skies and Rising Temperatures, Says National Weather Service

Residents of Oklahoma City can expect to enjoy a predominantly sunny week ahead, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service. The city will see temperatures steadily climbing, with highs nearing the 90s and conditions remaining mostly clear throughout the week.

Starting off with today’s weather, after a brief encounter with patchy fog this morning, the skies are set to clear up. The NWS predicts “sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon.” As evening approaches, the clear skies will persist, leading to a low around 73 degrees. The gentle breeze will persist to slowly become more sustained as the night progresses.

For tomorrow, the NWS is forecasting “mostly sunny, with a high near 93,” but the comfort factor may be compromised with heat index values to potentially top 102 degrees. The day will also see a significant uptick in wind speed, with south winds blowing at 10 to 17 mph and the possibility of gusts reaching as high as 26 mph.
