Blaze Engulfs Oklahoma City Apartment, Injuring Five Including One Firefighter

A fire broke out at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex on Wednesday evening, prompting a response from the Oklahoma City Fire Department. KFOR reported that the fire occurred near N Western Avenue and NW 82nd Street, with heavy flames coming from the second floor. Five people were injured, including one firefighter. Three residents jumped from the building to escape the fire.

Oklahoma City Fire Department Shift Commander David Shearer said two buildings were affected and are likely total losses. According to KOCO, 12 apartment units were destroyed by the fire.
