OKLAHOMA CITY— Sentencing in federal court has been imposed on the couple convicted of embezzling from Heartland Tank. On April 30, James and Andrea Siler appeared in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma before Judge Joe Heaton after entering guilty pleas to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
The couple were originally charged in Kay County District Court and accused of embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from Heartland Tank. (see story). The case was moved to federal court where the couple agreed to a plea deal. (see story below)
Court documents shows that after a sentencing hearing, Andrea is ordered to serve 12 months and one day in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She was ordered to surrender to a federal facility in Bryan, Texas by noon on July 1. Upon release she will be under three years of supervised release and is ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $530,526.87. Interest on the amount has been waived.
Court documents show that James is placed on probation for five years with standard and or special conditions. They include paying restitution in the amount of $388,251.90. He is free on bond…
