The city of Edmond is streamlining its operations with various departments making their way to a new City Hall at 22 E. Main Street. According to the City of Edmond recent announcement, moves started on July 15 after a ribbon-cutting on July 14 celebrated the facility’s opening. However, during this transitional phase, certain departments may be temporarily out of reach for face-to-face meetings, so residents are advised to call ahead using the online directory to confirm availability.
Eight departments including Building & Safety, City Clerk, City Council Chambers and offices, City Manager’s Office, Engineering, Housing & Community Resources, Marketing & Public Relations, and Planning and Zoning, along with Purchasing and Urban Forestry will eventually call the new City Hall home, this collective relocation marks an effort to consolidate city services which were previously spread across multiple locations, causing at times, a strain on efficiency and interdepartmental collaboration.
