Attorney General makes quiet request to postpone execution of Tremane Wood

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — The state’s next execution might not take place as scheduled.

Tremane Wood was convicted of murder and sentenced to death in 2004. He was sentenced for stabbing a migrant farm worker from Montana to death during a robbery in Oklahoma City.

On Tuesday, the Attorney General’s office requested the presiding judge over the Court of Criminal Appeals to push back Wood’s execution for 30 days. His execution was originally scheduled for September 11, 2025…
