Citizens, Del City leaders demand Myles Davidson step down: ‘A stain on the commission’

Oklahoma County Commissioner Myles Davidson led his first public meeting Tuesday since being accused of sexual misconduct and stalking. Tensions rose during the meeting’s public comment period as several residents and city leaders from Del City demanded Davidson’s resignation.

“This man is a stain on the County Commission’s record,” said Del City Mayor Floyd Eason said. “He is stealing authority and dignity from both of you guys.”

“At one point in time all of us have to look at ourselves in our careers and think am I doing more harm than good, is it time for me to walk away,” added Mid-Del School Board Member Gina Standridge. “I think that’s something you need to be asking yourself today.”…
