A proposed data center campus on Yukon’s west side was a key discussion topic for several citizens who spoke out during Tuesday night’s Yukon City Council meeting.
Donavan Furr, of Woodlawn Drive, asked Yukon city leaders to take something into serious consideration.
“I urge you to look into the possibility of the AI (Artificial Intelligence) bubble popping and the rapid obsolescence of data center equipment,” Furr said. “I’m with you that we need to find ways to bring money to Yukon, but I’m not convinced that the data center is the best way to do it without significant impact to our residents.”…
