FAMily Discovery Center: A look inside the First Americans Museum’s ‘pop-up book world’

The First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City will soon open a new visitor experience to inspire generations to come.

The museum is set to open the FAMily Discovery Center (FDC) on Sept. 20. The new space is a first-of-its-kind, two-story, 5,000 sq. ft. interactive “pop-up book world” designed for children, families, and learners of all ages.

By blending hands-on play, STEAM-inspired activities, and immersive storytelling, the museum says the new FDC invites visitors to step inside a storybook brought to life while celebrating Native cultures and Oklahoma’s diverse landscapes.
