Sept. 18, 2025, marks more than seven decades of the United States Air Force protecting the skies and supporting national defense.
The U.S. Air Force was officially established on Sept. 18th, 1947, following the Second World War, which highlighted the growing importance of airpower and the need to reorganize the U.S. armed forces.
