Child Passenger Safety Week starts Sunday

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (KOKH) — The Oklahoma Highway Safety Office (OHSO) is joining the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for Child Passenger Safety Week, which starts Sunday and runs through Sept. 27.

The annual safety week culminates with National Seat Check on Sept. 27, a day for parents and caregivers to receive free instruction on how to correctly install and use the right car seats for their children.

OHSO announced Thursday that certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians offer free car seat safety checks on Seat Check Saturday throughout the state.
