Guthrie Public School students, staff member involved in injury head-on collision Saturday

GUTHRIE, Okla. — Guthrie Public Schools says that several students and a staff member were injured in a head-on collision on Saturday, September 20.

According to them, a Guthrie Public Schools SUV was transporting students returning from the Oklahoma State University football game in Stillwater against the University of Tulsa when it was involved in a head-on collision on State Highway 33 and Coyle Road. The occupants were the members of the Guthrie High School Choir, who were working in a concession stand during the game as as part of a fundraiser for the program, and the choir director, who was driving the vehicle.

Four of the occupants of the Guthrie Public Schools SUV were transported to several hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Two students were later released. Their names have been withheld by the school district…
