OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Thursday’s latest Drought Monitor shows the continuation of deepening drought conditions across Oklahoma. With today’s update, we saw the severe drought category return to the map from the first time since May 20th.
This update isn’t surprising since we’ve seen very little rain over the past week.
When you go back 30 days, you can see there is a large swath of the state between Oklahoma City and Tulsa that has seen less than 1″ of rain. No wonder drought has come back so quickly!
