EDMOND, Okla (KFOR) — The U.S. Senior Open will be making its return to Edmond’s Oak Tree National in 2027 for the 47th annual championship, the United States Golf Association (USGA) announced on Thursday.
The 2027 U.S. Senior Open will be the second time that the championship returns to Oak Tree National after Colin Montgomerie claimed his first U.S. Senior Open title over Gene Sauers in 2014.
Oak Tree National previously hosted the 1984 U.S. Amateur, won by Oklahoma State’s Scott Verplank. The Pete Dye-designed layout also hosted the 1988 PGA Championship and the 2006 Senior PGA Championship.

“The USGA is delighted to bring the U.S. Senior Open back to Oak Tree National and Oklahoma in July of 2027,” said Hank Thompson, Senior Director of Championships for the USGA. “The venue and surrounding communities provided a wonderful backdrop for our 2014 championship, so there is no doubt the 47th edition will deliver another memorable and exciting experience.”…
