OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (KOKH) — The American Red Cross of Central and Southwest Oklahoma is helping local military communities amid the federal government shutdown through a food and hygiene drive.
“The Red Cross helps members of the military, veterans, their families and caregivers cope with the challenges of service,” said Marama Bayles-Raleigh, Red Cross Regional Director of Service to the Armed Forces and International Services. “Our military partners alerted us to the uncertainty that military members face in the days ahead. Together, we’re encouraging communities to come together to support them and offer some peace of mind.”
The drive runs through Monday, Oct. 27 – Nov. 7. Donations can be dropped off at the Red Cross, 701 N Lindsay Ave., Oklahoma City, Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. or Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m…
