Oklahoma man convicted of killing UCO student in DUI crash dies in prison

HOMINY, Okla. – A man sentenced to life in prison for causing a crash that killed a 19-year-old college student in 2020 has died, according to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

ODOC says Malcolm Penney, who was incarcerated at the Dick Conner Correctional Center in Osage County, died on Sunday. Penney was behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol when his vehicle crashed into that of Marissa Murrow, a Mustang High School graduate and then-student at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
