The Police Department recently celebrated its annual “Thank you to the Hope Center of Edmond, Walmart at Danforth & Santa Fe, UCO Police, and student volunteers from Edmond Memorial High School for helping make this event so special for our kids and community. We couldn’t do it without your support!” as per the Edmond Police Department’s post.
The annual event, a beloved tradition in the community, pairs police officers with local children for holiday shopping. The program aims to assist families in need while fostering positive connections between law enforcement and residents. In partnership with the Hope Center of Edmond and a nearby Walmart, officers, children, and volunteers from UCO Police and Edmond Memorial High School shopped together, selecting gifts for the season.
