EL RENO – An Oklahoma City teen has been sentenced to state prison after pleading guilty in court for driving drunk and causing two deaths in a crash near Lake Overholser just east of Yukon.
Anjis (Angie) Esmeralda Ortiz-Hernandez, age 19, has been convicted of first-degree manslaughter (two counts), driving under the influence resulting in great bodily injury, and DUI-alcohol in Canadian County District Court.
Ortiz-Hernandez, represented by attorney Cesar Armenta, was formally sentenced Dec. 9 on the second part of a sentencing hearing that began Nov. 18 before District Judge Paul Hesse. On Sept. 16, she had entered “blind” guilty pleas to all charges…
