OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma high school students with a passion for filmmaking are being invited to share their work as submissions open for the second annual Oklahoma Teen Film Festival. Dr. Megan Cox, assistant professor of strategic communications at the University of Central Oklahoma, says the festival was created to give teens a low-pressure, supportive space to showcase their creativity while gaining early exposure to Oklahoma’s growing film industry, with categories ranging from animation and documentary to microfilms and Indigenous storytelling.
