STEPHENS COUNTY, Okla. — The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference Friday to answer questions about the Christmas Day shooting in the Meridian area.
The Sheriff’s Office received a tip that someone was firing a gun from Oliver Drive, which is north of Oliver Road. Sheriff Rick Lang said the bullet traveled 505 meters before striking the victim and said the handgun in question is a Glock Model 25.
“I can’t give you the details of the investigation other than I’m 100 percent sure of what we have done,” Lang said.

“The bullet that was taken from her body, the handgun is all at the OSBI lab and we’re waiting for a report from them. I have looked at it, and nothing has changed my mind about our procedures so far,” Lang said…
