2 killed after car crashes into building; catches on fire

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Two people are dead after their car crashed into a building and caught on fire in southwest Oklahoma City just after midnight.

Daytime photos reveal just how bad the damage is after the crash, with glass and debris everywhere.

“Came over here and we seen a truck upside down and another car over there like all pieces with no wheels and nothing on it,” said Zae Promise, an OKC resident.

Oklahoma City Police said just after midnight, two vehicles driving north and eastbound collided at the intersection of Southwest 29th and Western. One car flew into the El Rancho Western Wear shop on the corner and caught on fire.

“We do have two individuals in the vehicle. One male. One female. Their identities are unknown, but both people are deceased,” said MSGT. Rob Robertson with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

The family-run store has been here for 15 years, and the owners woke up shocked by their loss.
