Firefighters perform high-angle rescue from a billboard

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOAM) — OKC Firefighters were alerted last week of a billboard worker who suffered a medical emergency about 50-feet above the ground.

The worker was stuck in a spot between panels. Sources tell us he had a back issue – it went out – and he was “froze” and could not move safely.

Rescue technicians as trained set up a high-angle system, paramedics treated the patient on the platform, and crews safely lowered him to the ground.
