OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA (KOKH) — The Oklahoma Statewide Charter School Board’s audit of Epic Charter Schools found no misappropriation of funds.
After a months-long audit, OSCBS voted to accept the findings of a forensic audit of Epic Charter Schools’ finances. The audit found no misappropriation of funds or willful wrongdoing, but did identify several areas of improvement for the school, according to a statement from Epic Charter Schools.
The audit conducted by the accounting and advisory firm Carr, Riggs & Ingram examined more than a year of Epic Charter School’s financial records, analyzed the school’s accounting and governance procedures, and conducted multiple interviews with current and former staff members.
