Bay Area commuters, here’s another traffic update to keep your travels as smooth as possible. According to a recent Oklahoma Department of Transportation advisory, there are multiple closures and lane narrowing projects scheduled, so plan ahead to avoid the roadwork blues.
Beginning Wednesday night, the northbound I-35 ramp from N.E. 122nd Street will be out of commission, and I-35 is going to be squeezed down to a single lane until early Thursday for overhead sign work. Also on tap for Thursday, the SH-74/Lake Hefner Parkway northbound on-ramp from N.W. 122nd Street gets the closure treatment, cutting down the parkway itself to a narrower path until noon, as reported by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
Along those lines, the southbound I-35 ramp to SH-9W will be streamlined down to a slimmer version of itself from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., as crews are hard at work in the vicinity. In Norman, SH-9E tightens its belt between S. Jenkins Ave. and 12th Ave. S.E. for the day to make room for surface work…
