Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – A surge of arctic air is expected to settle into Oklahoma late this week, bringing a prolonged stretch of cold temperatures and a chance of snow that could impact travel across central parts of the state. Overnight lows are expected to fall near 11 degrees, while daytime highs remain well below seasonal averages through early next week.

According to the National Weather Service, the coldest conditions are expected from Saturday through Tuesday as a polar air mass spreads south into the Southern Plains.
