OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – For folks who did have to get out during the second wave of winter weather overnight Saturday and into Sunday morning, travel was somewhat treacherous.
We had a News 4 crew at the Love’s Travel Stop off 122nd Street and I-35 early Sunday morning. Lots of semi trucks could be seen gassing up and making their way in or out. A few other travelers stopped by too and we spoke with them about what their drive was like and any messages they had for folks looking to get out and about in the coming days.
“I live out on a in Jones, and I drove just fine,” a woman by the name of Sarah said. “I didn’t slide anywhere. I was driving slow, so, I mean, I would drive cautiously. I seen a lot of snow where you can see the tracks, so, you can tell where people have driven in the same spot, not two lane traffic, but, you know, it’s out in the country. Just stay in the in the tracks.”…
