Oklahoma City crews say road conditions will improve within 36 hours

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City street crews are continuing round-the-clock snow removal efforts as snowfall tapers off, with road conditions expected to steadily improve over the next one to two days, according to Michael Kovac, who oversees the city’s snow and ice response.

Kovac said crews are focused on plowing major routes before transitioning back to salting operations once temperatures rise enough for treatment to be effective.

“Now that the snow has stopped falling, it makes it easier for us to see the progress we’re making,” Kovac said.
