Some parents have concerns about their children playing video games for fear that it could possibly incite violence, but most would never dream that things could actually escalate to such a life-altering level within their own families. But evidently, it can. A 19-year-old teen from Oklahoma named William Spencer has been arrested after being accused of stabbing his older brother after experiencing a bout of intense rage while the pair were playing video games. Tragically, the accused’s brother, Nicholas Spencer, who was 25 years old, was declared dead after being rushed to the hospital.
The Oklahoma City Police Department confirmed to People that William Spencer was arrested on January 18, 2026, after officers in Del City responded to a domestic stabbing call about 8:30 that Sunday evening.
According to Law & Crime, it happened in a residence near SE 44th Street and Bryant Avenue in Oklahoma City where police found the 25-year-old victim with multiple serious stab wounds after William Spencer called 911 to notify authorities he had viciously hurt his brother. After the paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital, the health care team pronounced him dead.
