Bob ‘Spacedog’ Moore, longtime Oklahoma musician, dies at 76

Bob Moore, better known as Spacedog, died on Jan. 20 in a house fire in Slaughterville. He was 76.

Moore was a fixture of the Oklahoma music community for more than five decades, first as a member of the psychedelic folk rock band Moon Dog (also known as Moondog Okiextremist and a few other combinations and spellings). The band released four LPs between 1978 and 1982, including one partially recorded live at Cain’s Ballroom. The cover of their 1978 album Creatures Of The Mind was designed by a 17-year-old Wayne Coyne.
