Oklahoma man stole more than $25K in Fort Smith bank robbery, court docs say

FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — An Oklahoma man has been accused of taking more than $25,000 during a Fort Smith bank robbery last month, according to court documents.

Aljon Smith, 31, of Luther, Okla., is facing one count of armed aggravated robbery and one count of theft of property worth $25,000 or more.

Records show that Smith was booked into the Sebastian County Detention Center on Feb. 12.

The Fort Smith Police Department said it responded to a bank robbery at the 2500 block of Rogers Avenue around 3:40 p.m. on Jan. 20.
