EDMOND, Okla. – A new grassfire broke out Wednesday near Waterloo Road and May Avenue, as crews nearby reported progress on an earlier blaze in Edmond.

According to emergency radio traffic, the latest fire is burning near Waterloo Road and May Avenue, about two miles east of where firefighters battled a separate grassfire earlier in the day.
Deer Creek and Oklahoma City fire crews are responding.
Earlier Meridian and Waterloo fire nearly contained
The new fire comes after a fast-moving grassfire broke out near Meridian Avenue and Waterloo Road in Edmond on Wednesday.
