OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — The Petroleum Alliance is hoping legislators can help the oil and gas industry in the wake of two companies relocating to Texas.
The group penned a letter to lawmakers, asking them to take “aggressive” steps this legislative session to “restore Oklahoma’s competitiveness in the oil and natural gas industry.”
Some policy issues the Petroleum Alliance points to include the raising of the Gross Production Tax during a budget shortfall in 2018, loopholes in Oklahoma’s tort reform laws they say are exploited by trial lawyers, and problems with county assessors…
