Red Flag Warnings Blanket Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Southern Missouri as Elevated Wildfire Danger Spreads Across the Southern Plains

UNITED STATES — Red Flag Warnings have been issued across multiple states today, signaling an increased risk for rapid wildfire development across portions of the Southern Plains and central Rockies.

The warning area spans from Colorado and New Mexico southward toward the Texas border, then east across Oklahoma and into southern Missouri, highlighting a broad corridor of dangerous fire weather conditions.

Colorado and New Mexico Under Elevated Fire Threat

Large sections of Colorado, including areas near Denver and extending south along the Front Range and into southern portions of the state, are included in the Red Flag Warning zone.
