OKCFD crews respond to apartment fire in SE OKC

UPDATE: According to Oklahoma City Fire officials, crews responded to an apartment fire shortly after 10:30 a.m. this morning near the 9500 block of S I-35 Service Road.

The fire began on a first-floor balcony before extending to the two units above and into a common attic space, say fire crews.

Damage reported is a total of two units with extensive fire damage. One dog was rescued with all occupants safely evacuated.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
