Man booked on multiple charges after shooting at officers

PIEDMONT, Okla. (KFOR) — The Piedmont Police Department said on Wednesday night, they responded to a disturbance call for domestic abuse, and when the officers arrived, they were shot at.

The Piedmont Police Department stated:

“The suspect, Ryan Berger, eventually surrendered without further incident and was booked into the Canadian County Jail on multiple felony charges, including two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Police Officer and Domestic Abuse by Strangulation.”

An officer’s patrol vehicle was struck, and one of the officers sustained minor injuries. He was transported to a hospital and has now been released.
