Unidentified human remains discovered in Oklahoma River; cause unclear

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Reports of a suspected drowning in southwest Oklahoma City on Thursday led to the discovery of bones.

According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, a passerby reported they saw a body in the Oklahoma River near SW 15th Street and Portland. When fire crews arrived, they realized the body had been in the water for quite some time and was mostly bones.

The Medical Examiner’s office arrived at the scene and will determine the identity and cause of death…
