Fostering a dog may require time, space, and lots of flexibility, but watching a dog become their best self makes all the effort worthwhile. Some rescue dogs will need more time than others to decompress and start exploring their new environments, and that’s ok! They’ll eventually come around, and when they do, it will be the most rewarding experience.
On the other hand, some foster dogs like Jeffrey the Chihuahua mix couldn’t be more excited to begin their new life. His tail never stopped wagging as soon as he left the Oklahoma City shelter! His foster mama, London, recapped his first day of freedom in a February 24 video, and he truly couldn’t be any cuter.
