‘Handpicked by God’: Edmond woman thanks first responders for survival after cardiac arrest

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) — A 74-year-old woman is lucky to be alive after a blood clot traveled to her lung and caused her heart to stop. A month and a half later, she’s up walking and talking and thanking the first responders who saved her.

“I just think they were handpicked by God,” said Becky Madison.

Madison was reliving the night of January 9th at 3:30 a.m. That’s when a blood clot in her leg moved into her lung while she was next to her husband…
