Tonkawa student pages at OK House for Luttrell

OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Ken Luttrell, R-Ponca City, hosted Lauren Zimmerman, a senior at Tonkawa High School, as a page at the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

Zimmerman is ranked first in her class and maintains a 4.0 GPA. She serves as an officer in the National Honor Society and is actively involved in student leadership and school activities. She has participated in Girls State, serves on Student Council and is the senior cheerleading captain. She also had the opportunity to cheer in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and serves as a worship leader at St. Luke’s Church.

“Lauren has clearly worked hard to excel both in the classroom and through her involvement in her school and community,” Luttrell said. “She showed a real passion for government during her time at the Capitol and has been strongly considering a career in public service. It was great to have her here and give her the opportunity to see the legislative process up close.”

Zimmerman is the daughter of Zach and Kristen Zimmerman of Ponca City. After graduation, she plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in interior design. While at OSU, she hopes to rush a sorority, become involved on campus and participate in the President’s Leadership Council…
