The Walker Street Enhancement Project is expected to upgrade the area between NW 23rd Street and NW 32nd Street, creating a safer and more inviting route for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers.

The project is funded through $5 million from the Better Streets, Safer City Sales Tax Program, a voter-approved extension of the MAPS 3 penny sales tax, which generated $264 million to support roadway resurfacing, street enhancements, sidewalks, trails, and bicycle infrastructure around Oklahoma City.
