OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The majority of firefighters across Oklahoma are volunteers, and many departments are facing staffing shortages.
“We’re slotted for 20 firefighters. We have 10, so we’re about half of our staffing,” said Chief Todd Beesley, Wellston Volunteer Fire Department.
The Cogar Volunteer Fire Department is also dealing with this same situation.
