OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Police are investigating a fatal double hit-and-run incident that occurred early Wednesday morning in southwest Oklahoma City.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, at around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near SW 59th Street and South Francis Avenue. The driver of that vehicle fled the scene. Shortly after, the victim was hit by a second vehicle, which also fled the area.
The woman, later identified as 46-year-old Zulma Briones, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the first vehicle involved appears to be a light-colored compact crossover SUV, described as very clean. The second vehicle is described as a dark-colored Dodge Charger.
