A woman who was shot and killed by police following a multi-agency pursuit across Oklahoma City on Friday has been identified, according to investigators.

The Oklahoma City Police Department says deputies with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office initially responded at around 8:30 p.m. to a report of an armed woman at a residence near North Council Road and Northwest 164th Street.

When confronted by deputies, investigators say the suspect fled in a pickup truck, triggering a pursuit that stretched across the city.

Where the pursuit unfolded

The chase moved southbound through Oklahoma City, with multiple agencies assisting. Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Oklahoma City Police officers joined as the suspect continued to evade deputies.

A tactical vehicle intervention (TVI) was attempted near Northwest 150th Street and North Portland Avenue, but the suspect rammed a deputy’s vehicle and continued driving.
